The ​Jefferson Village Civic Association would like to thank all of you for what was a fantastic National Night Out yesterday evening (8/4/2021) in the park! The weather was beautiful, as was seeing everyone in person again. We hope to do so again soon so please be sure to be safe, follow the reinstated county guidelines regarding masks, and encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as they can!

Thanks are due to the Fairfax County Police for their participation, too. The officers took time out of their schedules to visit with us for over an hour. We have sent a thank you to the officers at the Fairfax County McLean District Station but please feel free to echo those sentiments at: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/district/mclean.

We also want to highlight other ways you can help make your community a great place to live.
  1. Become a member. Members are who elects us to represent this community and your memberships funds are what enable us to put on great events. Sign up here for two years for just $35!
  2. Donations. We welcome donations from all and make every dollar count. Donate here online!
  3. Volunteer. If you have an hour or two for setup or cleanup, we run at least four events a year and always appreciate volunteers. Let us know by e-mail if you're around to help for Fall Fest, Springfest, National Night Out, or the Annual Gathering!
  4. Share. If you enjoy knowing about your community, maybe your neighbors will too. Share this e-mail mailing list link with them so they can get messages directly from the board about Jefferson Village Civic Association events and the neighborhood.
  5. Finally, Participate. Come to the Annual Gathering, send in questions, attend a board meeting, or just be friendly and welcoming to neighbors and visitors! Your friendliness and understanding can make a huge difference!​

]]><![CDATA[First meeting of 2021!]]>Tue, 19 Jan 2021 05:00:00 GMThttp://jefferson-village.org/blogjvca-meeting-minutes/first-meeting-of-2021The JVCA held its first board meeting of 2021 tonight and in addition to reviewing the end of a very long 2020, had a chance to catch up and discuss plans to come.

Instead of our usual calendar publication, the Board decided to instead operate on a month-by-month basis this year, making sure our plans best match the needs and situation of the neighborhood. We'll be keeping all informed through our usual methods including Nextdoor, Facebook, and e-mail.

Please feel free to reach out with any concerns, requests, or questions. We are always eager to address what we can to make for a better community!
